A few of my younger cousins have looked at my blog and then asked me what the purpose of it was.
I will summarize for their benefit.
Blogs are used to share knowledge, stories, ideas and many other things. Blogs are usually highly specific and chronological updates of events. This, like many other blogs on the Internet, are indexed by search engines such as Google. That means if people are searching for a particular product, say a Motorola RAZR V3, they will eventually come upon my blog.
So, to elaborate, I’ll choose a hypothetical scenario. Say you need to purchase something, but want to know what other people think about that item. Some people are impulse buyers and purchase the item without reading any reviews on the product, while others do their research and read about what other people have to say about an item. Hence, that’s one instance where a blog can come in. People can read magazine reviews (could be biased) and also independent reviews from users on the Internet (which could also be biased). People reading a blog can comment on blog entries, giving their own feedback (much like most major product review sites).
Well, I hope that sums up your questions about blogs. There’s much more to blogs then what I’ve stated. Blogs are continually evolving. Do a Google search for blogs. There’s millions of them out there
